ringtones have been around for ever!

So it’s not often that a new ringtone service impresses me enough to step up to the PC and write about it.
So when I find a ringtone service that has me thinking “WOW! That’s Great”! – I take the time to tell you about it.

So which ringtone service has got me buzzing?

SingMyRing.com – This one is simply brilliant!

It’s all in the name. SingMyRing.com provide really catchy, and professionally produced ringtones using YOUR name. I can’t emphasise the quality enough – They’re the best I’ve heard in a very long time.

So How Does It Work?

You visit the site and type in your name. They’ll let you listen to a load of previews of ringtones that use your name in the track. There are loads of different versions available… Acoustic, Barbershop, Dance, Disco, Funk, Garage, Piano, Rave, RnB and Rock.

But It Doesn’t End There!

You can also get ‘Pal Tones’ – ringtones that use your friends’ name. Type in your mates name and you can get a ringtone based on the ‘XYZ is calling you”. The you can assign it to your contacts so that when XYZ calls you, you know exactly who’s calling. Excellent stuff!

There’s More!

SingMyRing.com also provides ‘Alarm Tones’ and ‘SMS Text Alert Tones’ that use your name. Neat stuff.

Rude name ringtones!

So I was just browsing around for something a little different to alert my weary, bored brain to the sound of an incoming call, and….OH MY GOD!  I am certain I have heard rude ringtones before, indeed, I am not pretending to have found something entirely new.  But I recently stumbled, quite neatly, on to the fun packed pages of a ringtone provider called www.singmyring.com   Never again will I search when I am frustrated with the same tone being blasted from my phone.  This site has something for everyone, but for me, it has to be the new rude name ringtone.  These rude ringtones are just hilarious, and not just in a sadomasochistic kind of way!  The words ‘rudely interrupted by my phone’ have never sounded quite so apt!

 

I mean, how genius?!  I can’t even explain, you must listen to them!  It’s so easy, I put my name into a search box, singmyring gave me a list of possible ringtones, ranging from silent (yes, silent ringtones) to funny, to downright crude, then these bad boys appeared.  I have (of course) downloaded my own and can now shock all those choir boys standing behind me in the queue at the local shop when somebody calls.  I will NEVER put my phone on silent alert again, not even in the library (which of course I use all the time….).  A rude name ringtone fan I now am, and a rude name ringtone fan I shall stay.  Now, I am not trying to promote anarchy, but you, in fact, everyone, has to get one of these rude name ringtones.  They are £1!!!  I am still in shock.  The only thing missing is the ability to send an even ruder, cruder, more abusive rude name ringtone anonymously to my ex……now there’s an idea ;o)

Another fantastic site I’ve found for more personalisation for your mobile is www.reddodo.com , a great website for personalised animation. You select your favourite moving image and you get to put your own wording across that image, be it your own name, partners name or whatever! The quality of the images are fantastic and there’s plenty of templates for you to choose from.
Animation is a great way to bring your mobileto life and there’s no shortage of websites providing simple moving animation to send to your mobile, but these personalised images go one step further and kick the competition out of the ball park!

Let’s face it, how many of us have used our desktop as an extension of our personality, or used those scrolling text screensavers that you just cant wait to put your own text onto!?
